Long Branch Farm & Trails spans 758 acres of forest and farmland, with over five miles of hiking trails. Trails wind through Eastern deciduous forests, fields, streams, and past ponds and wetlands. Long Branch Farm & Trails is accessible to Cincinnati Nature Center members only.

Start your adventure on the 0.69-mile Firefly Trail, accessible from the parking lot. Creekside Barn, adjacent to the parking lot, offers a shaded picnic area and access to restrooms.

Walk through restored native prairie, full of colorful wildflowers throughout summer and goldenrod in the fall, on our 0.85-mile Bluestem Trail. Stop by the overlook for a beautiful view of O'Bannon Creek.

Hike through a variety of habitat on the 0.84-mile Barred Owl Trail. This trail cuts through both woodland and prairie habitat, full of milkweed and butterflies in the summer and asters in the fall, and offers a peaceful rest stop at the newly installed hammock area. Take the side route (0.18 miles) to walk the perimeter of McCarthy Pond and enjoy the view from the bird blind.

Explore O'Bannon Creek up close and personal as you hike through multiple creek crossings and unique geological features on the 0.69-mile Salamander Trail.

Or choose your own adventure on the 1.54-mile Woodpecker Trail. This trail offers a diverse hike through prairie and old-growth forest, and holds remnants of old farmland. Hike the full distance or take a shortcut via the two connector trails along the way.
