Requirements for All Employees

Associate Director of Programming

The Associate Director of Programing supports the Director of Operations and Engagement by supervising all program team managers and interns. This includes providing data-driven strategic oversight of programs led by the team, seeking opportunities for the team to increase efficiency and effectiveness, and ensuring that program staff are focused on organizational goals which directly impact CNC’s mission. This seasoned leader will seek opportunities to learn from and collaborate with other departments to ensure that programs support both the mission and revenue goals of the organization.

Seasonal Assistant Land Steward
Seasonal | Milford, OH, 45150
Are you looking for a fun seasonal position where you get to be outdoors and active? Come join the Cincinnati Nature Center's land steward team and get paid to learn about land management including, but not limited to, invasive species and what to do about them! These positions are flexible in the number hours and the days in which the team members work. The Nature Center is open 7 days a week and schedules are weather dependent. Stewards can work as little as 3 - 5 hours a week or up to 15-20 hours per week. Pay starts at $10/hour. We will work around day off and vacation requests.
No experience is necessary, however, a team attitude and willingness to learn is a must. This position also has the opportunity to work with Citizen Science projects and prescribed burns if the candidate is interested.
Camp Counselor

Cincinnati Nature Center (CNC) is looking for enthusiastic people who want to work in nature, with children, and on a team with other silly camp staff. CincyNature Camp provides a safe and inclusive environment for children ages 3-15 to explore the natural world while making new friends. Counselors drive our mission of “inspiring conservation” by creating positive experiences out in nature for campers. Campers learn and foster a love for the environment by experiencing it, enjoying it, and caring for it.
The CincyNature Summer Camp Counselor position can double as an internship or co-op opportunity for many majors. CNC is happy to work with colleges and universities to meet requirements for their internships/co-ops. Camps are held at both Rowe Woods in Milford, OH, and Long Branch Farm & Trails in Goshen, OH.
Substitute Camp Counselor

Housekeeping Associate

With specific direction from Housekeeping Supervisor provides housekeeping, janitorial duties and light grounds maintenance around buildings. Daily work ranges from pest control, cleaning bathrooms, lobbies, and public spaces to preparing areas for events, including staging equipment needed for such events; work may also include assisting in facility repair. Execute all activities with the highest standards for safety, customer service, and in keeping with the Nature Center’s Mission, Values, and Principles.
Visitor Services Associate
Part Time | Milford, OH, 45150
With specific direction from the Visitor Services Coordinator, welcome and check-in all visitors to CNC. Provide information utilizing excellent customer service skills. Work in a collaborative manner to execute all activities with the highest standards for safety, customer service, and in keeping with CNC Mission, Values, and Principles.
Essential Job Responsibilities
• Identify all visitors entering Cincinnati Nature Center by scanning membership cards, collecting daily admissions fees, or asking for the purpose of their visit
• Promote Cincinnati Nature Center through the highest quality of customer service including selling memberships, providing information regarding the site and educational programs and any other information that will enhance the visitors experience
• Maintain accurate visitation records
• Register and count dogs entering the property
• Assist the Visitor Services Coordinator in generating and implementing new ideas that will improve the visitors experience

Visitor Services Associate Nature Ranger
Part Time | Milford, OH, 45150
This includes monitoring wildlife populations, maintaining trails, and educating visitors about the local ecosystem. With direction from the Visitor Services Manager provide a uniform presence on the property during busy weekends to ensure proper usage and enthusiasm of our land and safety for our guests.
KEY RESPONSBILITIES
• Perform patrol duties to ensure safety and enjoyment of guests while protecting our land.
• Serve as an ambassador to visitors advising on trails, facilities and programs.
• Disseminate information regarding rules and regulations of property.
• Act as first responder in emergency situation
Additional Job Responsibilities
• Assist with parking on busy days
• Report any down trees or potentially dangerous conditions to Front Desk Staff
• Communicate with facilities on necessary needs around the property
• Check with the Public Program Associate to provide support.
• Proactively evaluate safety protocols and signage
