Join us as we celebrate this bountiful time of year with drinks, food, games, and all things foraged. 

Forager's Fest

Friday, September 20, 6–10 pm

This adults-only event will feature:

• Live music from Stick & Bindle under the Krippendorf Terrace.

• Food for purchase from Cincy Smash and Texas Joe food trucks.

• Games, activities, and stations all centered around Ohio’s abundant wild food sources.

• Complimentary samples of beer and spirits made with Cincinnati Nature Center-foraged ingredients from Northwood Cider Company and New Riff Distilling. Additional beer, wine, and a signature foraged cocktail will be available for purchase.

• Foraged sweet treats and food bite samples.

• Interactive foraging talks and demos.

• Artisan goods from local makers available for purchase, including our pop-up Autumn Native Plant Sale, the Cincinnati Nature Center Nature Shop, HedgeStone Farm, Herbal Heritage Farms, and Maggie's Marvelous Mini Cheesecakes.

Preregistration required. Ages 21 and older. Must show ID. Member adult $30; nonmember adult $30.

Forager's Fest FAQ

Do I have to know anything about foraging to attend this event?

No. This event is open to anyone 21+ with a ticket, regardless of experience or knowledge of foraging. ID required.

Do I have to purchase a ticket?

Yes. Preregistration is required. We do expect this event to sell out.

Do I have to stay the entire time?

No! This event is open house style, and guests are welcome to arrive at any time and stay as long as they would like. Please note: Activity stations along the trail will close at 9:30pm due to the fact that it will be completely dark on the trails by this time. Activities at the Krippendorf Lodge (food trucks, vendors, the bar) will remain open until 10:00pm.

What time is the music?

Live music will start at 6:30 and end at 9:30, with the band taking a couple breaks throughout that time.

Can I bring my pet?

No. Service animals only, please.  

Will this event take place outside?

Yes. This event will have some covered space but will largely take place outdoors. All Cincinnati Nature Center programs take place rain or shine.  

Will there be parking at this event?

Yes. There is plenty of parking available at Krippendorf Lodge. Parking is free with ticket.
